Universal National Service |

Our
young people need to become more involved in the community and country
and be motivated with the proper work ethic and dedication to service.
A system is proposed of universal national service funded by the federal
government but decentralized to local control. Initially, the program
would operate on a voluntary or lottery basis.
Participants would work in the military, education, health care,
conservation and other areas of community need. Private foundations and
local communities and public service organizations would supervise and
oversee the program. |
