Taxes and Entitlements |

Our present tax laws
are unfair because they shift the burden of taxation from corporations
to individuals and small businesses. There are too many loopholes which
enable large and profitable corporations to avoid paying any tax at all
The solution is a new tax system with new brackets for individuals,
retaining only a few deductions. We should close corporate loopholes so
that all profitable corporations pay at least some income tax. We should
provide tax breaks for companies doing business abroad to fight
terrorism, but corporations should no longer be able to outsource
American jobs to foreign countries and get a tax break for doing so.
Social Security should be protected by raising the tax on incomes above
the present level and by providing expanded private investment accounts. |
