The theme of the book is that this country needs a new third political party, as both the Republican and Democratic parties have been captured by special interests who make huge campaign contributions. They protect their own interests at the expense of the American public. Until we have real campaign finance and election reform, eliminating campaign contributions, a number of basic and pressing problems in the country will not be solved.

This book examines major current political, economic and social issues facing the country and proposes a platform for a third political party. It suggests specific programs and solutions for many of these problems. This new party would not be either “conservative” or “liberal”, but would bring a pragmatic, realistic approach to the issues facing our country.

Before these problems can be addressed and solved, we need realistic campaign and election reform. Huge campaign contributions must be stopped and the country and its government returned to the people. The book proposes a real system of campaign finance reform that would deal with this problem and permit Congress and the President to do what is best for the country as a whole, not just those who make the contributions. Until this is accomplished, other problems cannot be dealt with. More on Campaign Finance Reform
