"The
"war on terrorism" was an excuse to adopt the so called
Patriot Act which enables the government to suspend many of our
Constitutional rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights, and that Patriot
Act is of doubtful value in stopping terrorist attacks. A strong federal
government has virtually destroyed the Tenth Amendment to the
Constitution, which reserves to the people and state governments all
rights not expressly given to the federal government. The founders of
our country feared a strong national government and wanted to protect
citizens against its potential abuse of power." |
